THE NOSE

There must have been some extra voltage flying around at TS Electric last week.

Firm fixtures Dan Roth and Curtis Brillhart each scored 15 points to lead Old Gaelic to a 30-5 defeat of Happy Valley on Saturday at Clearfield.

Brillhart bulled his way into the zone for the afternoon’s first score and Roth added a conversion as the Griffins took a 7-0 lead midway through the first half.  The Barbarians answered on a quick tap after a penalty but missed the kick.  Roth added a pair of penalty kicks to give the visitors a 13-5 lead at intermission.

Roth again split the uprights early in the final frame to put the Black & Gold up, 16-3.  Brillhart added two more tries, the last one on a feed from Matt Hart off the back of a lineout, to complete the scoring.
