Eight Simple Rules (to a DIII national title)
1. Be fit. Practice time is not enough. Run, swim, bike, hike - - it's all good.
2. Recruit. We are still 5 or 6 studs away from being able to pull this off. The first official practice on on August 16th at 7. Spread the word and recruit some athletes.
3. Commitment. We need players there on Tuesday and Thursday so we can run some meaningful team drills (that include game-type contact situations). We also need at least 25 players on hand each Saturday to meet the demands of our very challenging schedule.
4. Forward play in two words: clean ball.
5. Back play in two words: fast hands
6. Team play in one word: 15 as 1 (two numbers and one word).
7, Thou shalt not covet a civet (I needed an extra rule).
8. Have fun. Enjoy being part of a unique organization, the Old Gaelic Rugby Club.
